The names Kate Jones and Blue Oasis Wines may be new to you, but they’re making a splash (pun intended) in the #wine industry! New to Winesong in 2016, Kate poured her pinots from Blue Oasis at both A Pinot Noir Celebration & Winesong to the delight of our guests – especially those that have been attending for years. They love sampling new wines! If you didn’t get a chance to meet her or try her wonderful wines last year, you have another opportunity this year, and you’ll definitely want to bid on the magnums she has donated for our auction!
Kate’s wines have already received nice accolades and scores, including 94 points & an Editor’s Choice distinction from Wine Enthusiast for her 2014 Docker Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir. Docker Hill Vineyard is located in Mendocino County, as is Costa Vineyards, for which her 2014 Costa Vineyards Pinot Noir received 92 points (also from Wine Enthusiast). Clearly Kate takes to the wine business like a fish to water! And the name – Blue Oasis Wines – well, that stems from both her love of the ocean (and an oasis to many), and is also a tribute to the area from where she first sourced grapes in Monterey Bay – the “Blue Canyon.”
What we love about Kate is her unabashed enthusiasm and joy for the winemaking industry – not to mention fabulous Pinots! To learn more about Kate and Blue Oasis Wines – check out their website blueoasiswines.com. Thanks for joining the Winesong family, Kate!
